RLSLOG.net is down (temporarily – hopefully!)

As of Jun 29 14:36:45 requests to http://www.rlslog.net are returning:

Hold on!
There are too many RLSLOG readers connected to our server. Wait a minute or two and try again!
http://www.RLSLOG.net

So not down as in wiped off the net but RLSLOG.net is down for any useful purpose..

I guess we’ll have to use the RLSLOG twitter feed. Actually… doesn’t look like it’s been updated since November 2009.

this happens to them more and more, too many people using the site now and if they dont upgrade servers they will be dead soon.

There is another twitter account liked to Rlslog, you can find it here:

    http://twitter.com/#!/RLSLOG_NET

Links posted on their Twitter account do link to their website, so due to them being down they do not work.

I would assume to see updates on their activity posted on Twitter.

what about http://www.rlslog.in what is that?

I don’t see any published DNS records for http://www.rlslog.in. So either my DNS is being filtered or they’ve fallen over to.

After some investigation I can see that a DNS record for http://www.rlslog.in points to 173.212.192.23 which isn’t advertised beyond 96-9-147-229.static.hostnoc.net (96.9.147.229)

So who knows what http://www.rlslog.in is. Google search results suggest that it’s similar to http://www.rlslog.net in content genre but I don’t know if it’s run by the same people.

OK, just to clarify, http://www.rlslog.in is a competitor site set up by previous editors of the original releaselog site that for some reason or other (I don’t know exactly why and not interested in finding out) have left the site and set up an ad free site with better conectivity.

Although from what i last heard they now have ad’s on there too so I suspect that original goals have since been long forgotton and it is just a underused alturnative to releaselog, mind you, the amount of down-time releaselog has had recently I would sugest swapping to either the above link or sceper (search in google) for stable alturnatives (for the meantime anyway)
